The reverse of the coin features the wonderful High Relief image of the Qiao Sisters. The Qiao Sisters were characters within, one married to a warlord, another to a general. The Sisters are beautifully posed and the subtle colour of the butterfly is a super focal point for the eye. On the left of the reverse, the inscriptions: “QIAO BEAUTIES” – the name of the coin and “Romance”. The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by Chinese drawings and the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II” – the name of the Queen, “NIUE ISLANDS” – the issuing country, “2021” – the year of issue and “FIVE DOLLARS” – the face value.
