The reverse of the coin depicts Blackbeard stands aboard his ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, marked by the barrel of overflowing skulls behind him. The sling across his chest houses the many pistols that hang within arm’s reach alongside a threatening belt of daggers hanging from his waist. Blackbeard holds his knife. The 2 Oz Silver coin is struck in a new minting technique that combines 11.5 Oz of Copper in between two layers of Fine Silver, resulting in super ultra-High Relief while being tapped off with Silver Antique Finishing. The technique allows the coin to have an incredible weight and feel in the hand together with 80 mm diameter size. The obverse of the coin depicts the Coat of Arms of Tchad and the inscriptions: “REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD” – the issuing country, “10000 FRANCS CFA” – the face value and “2021” – the year of issue.
